My passion for flowers & nature goes back to my childhood. I spent most of my adult life working in the restaurant industry, doing "the flowers" at restaurants as a fun side project. It wasn't until I began gardening professionaly that I decided to launch my love of flowers into a dream. My dream is most simply, to bring you the beauty of Nantucket in a bouquet. I'm so very lucky to live in a community with talented flower farmers. Picking-days are magical to me, hand-picking and cutting your flowers with these wonderful growers.
You'll often find me foraging the natural landscapes of Nantucket with my two children, Eibhlin (Evie) & Jack Ellis, along with our dog Tunny. Seeing nature through their eyes has brought a new perspective to me while arranging. I adore the "wonky blooms" of the world and using unique accents in my work. With such a fondness of nature, it is also my responsibility to protect it. I vow to never use floral foam or single-use plastic in my work. When hiring me for an event or picking up a bouquet, you can trust that every decision made for Eibhlin Fern is the most earth-concious choice.
